What is the Self-Empowered Community Concept?
Enable Santa Barbara County's residents to address their major problems, challenges and opportunities while minimizing their dependencies on non-local resources and then replicate the proccesses with other local communities.
The SEC Project will initially address Youth at Risk and Diversity. Will implement advanced processes that enable individuals and organizations to move from political and social apathy towards self-empowerment while at the same time transforming Santa Barbara into a model "Collaborative Community".
