Jim's Sandbox

Beware! There sometimes be dragons here that might crash your browser.

Time to play with AJAX!

This will be where I test out new web design ideas, CSS, PHP, whatever, before they get out into the real world.

Who knows what you will find here, and if you do find something, chances are it doesn't work yet.

Now that I've scared off all but the hardy few, you brave-hearted souls are welcome to explore with me what can, and can't be done with web site templates.

Anyway, give me a shout with any comments or feedback! See you on the web.

Design Templates to Consider!

These are smewhat generic design templates to get us started.  They are not finished products and are intended solely to jump start a quick web site. Here's the original design. Which one(s) do you like? Why?

We can also mix and match design ideas from different templates.

Design 1 - Autumn A green, earthy design. Navigation bars on top and right side.

Design 2 - City Heavy on the images with special effects, navigation tools on the left, contact form on front page.

Design 3 - Lifeline Navigation bars above header picture, navigation links in center of page. Muted colors.

Design 4 - Orange
Minimum number of navigation links, navigation links in center of page, very simple design that can be expanded as needed (obviously change the background image.)

Design 5 - Progress   This template has a scrollable page on the right and a stable link section on the left.

Design 6 - Dark Colors Navigation with left column. Darker/contrasting colors. Simple layout that is easy to expand. Tool ideas.

Design 7 - SEC store This is more of a web store approach with a community backend. Lots of room to expand links and services.

Design 8 - Asian Theme  This kind of design could easily be converted from an Asian feel to a Latino feel just by changing the images.
