The main list (tlug@tlug.linux.or.jp) and accompanying digest (tlug-digest@tlug.linux.or.jp) focus on technical issues, which generally revolve around the following:

  1. Specific Software issues concerning linux/unix OS's
  2. Specific Software issues concerning tools, programs, etc.
  3. Specific Software issues concerning Open Source Code
  4. Hardware-related issues
  5. Books / Book reviews
TLUG is a community built by people who respect each other and enjoy using Linux. These mailing lists are places where people learn more about Linux in a friendly, cooperative manner. Let's keep it that way!
Tlug now has a new list for all members who are interested in non-technical discussions related to Linux and Open Source Code software in general, the "tlug-advocacy" list.

The tlug-advocacy list (tlug-advocacy@tlug.linux.or.jp) and accompanying digest (tlug-advocacy-digest) have been set up to reduce the load on the tlug main technical list, and include (but are not limited to) the following topics:

  1. What is Linux?
  2. What is Open Source Code Software?
  3. Why does Open Source Code work?
  4. Jokes, General Conversation (hopefully linux related :-)
The admin list (tlug-admin@tlug.linux.or.jp) focuses on administration issues of the tlug organization itself, and includes (but is not limited to) the following topics:
  1. Tlug server issues
  2. Tlug webpages
  3. Tlug mailing Lists
  4. Tlug meetings/Nomikais
  5. Tlug finances
  6. Tlug projects (CDRoms, T-Shirts, etc)
Feel free to join into any or all of the tlug lists.

The tlug-advocacy archive is now available. It is used for non-technical discussions.

TLUG-admin Mailing List Archive

The TLUG-admin mailing list is also archived. It is used for discussion related to the administration of TLUG financial affairs, upcoming events, maintaining the server, and other topics not suited to the main list.
