Have being trying very hard to install linux on my aptiva(IBM) but always runs into trouble. especially cannot fire up the startx comand. Always says memory too small and no server.but i have a 2MB of vedio memory and have the SVGA server installed. Just cannot figure out why. I will be very glad if one of the guru*s will help me out

I am a Canadian currently working in Malaysia. I am promoting the use of Linux for Web servers and Internet sites in general. There is no Linux Users Group as yet. I am arranging with the Malaysian Unix Users Association to start a Linux chapter. For the time being my problem has been to successfully set up a Linux DNS server I think the problem is the definition of the root server.
