Account Holder: Craig Oda
The purpose of this page is to detail who-does-what with respect to the handling of TLUG's funds.
Background:
The TLUG account was opened by Craig Oda (TLUG President) back when there was no Treasurer position within TLUG.When opening the account, the 'hanko' of an individual was required, so Craig used his own personal hanko.
Consequently, since the TLUG account is under Craig Oda's name, he is the Account Holder by default.
The position of Treasurer was created in early '98. The TLUG account passbook was handed over to the Treasurer during the June, '98 meeting. A general announcement regarding this fact was made to members at that meeting.
Account Access:
The account has a passbook and cash-card:- The Account Holder is in possession of the cash-card and hanko.
- The Treasurer in possession of the passbook.
The current arrangement is such that:
- The Account Holder can withdraw from the TLUG account using the cash-card.
- The Treasurer can deposit to, and get an update of the funds in the TLUG account at anytime using the passbook, but *can not* withdraw funds, since the Account Holder has the hanko.
Treasurer's duties:
- Account for and report to members about money collected at meetings. (in conjunction with Snackmeister)
- Deposit money collected at meetings into the TLUG account.
- Assist with the allocation of TLUG funds to projects.
- Bring passbook to meetings and have available for inspection by members.
- Monitor usage of TLUG account by the Account Holder ;)
Account Holder's duties:
- Withdraw funds from the account when an approved(*) payment is required.
