Who is the ComputerButler?
Jim Schweizer is a resident of Santa Barbara, California. In addition to loving technolgy, he is an educator, a writer, a father and a strong supporter of Open Source software.

He first started using computers in 1978, but it wasn't until the early 90s that he started using them avidly. By the mid 1990s, he was hooked on the Internet and believed strongly that it would fundamentally change the way education was delivered. He started teaching himself Linux using Slackware and writing web pages. In the late 1990s he wrote pioneering eLearning work in the ESL field.

During the dot com craze, he held Director level positions at two start-ups in San Francisco - Linuxcare, a Linux services company, and Viviance new education, Inc, an eLearning development company.

ComputerButler grew out of his desire to help people master the technology changes that were taking place in education and business. If you'd like to find out more about Jim and what ComputerButler offers, go ahead and give him a ring!
